Family is a treasure!

Family is a big thing to me. It means a lot to have the support of a loving family. Support can come from anywhere-friends, family, church family, or even co-workers. No matter what anyones says to me, my family will always have the best support. They've known me since I was born. They have seen me grow up into who I am and know my faults, strenghts and my personality. They can help me through anything because they've been with me through everything. Family is an important word. I don't consider all of my relatives family. My family mainly consists of my mom, sister, and grandmother. I have more relatives than this, but they have not fully been in my life. I see them every once in a while but have never had a personal relationship with them. My grandmother is crazy, but she is the funny crazy and not the psycho crazy. She would do anything for me if I needed it, and I will love her till I die.

My sister is my best friend. She is engaged right now to a man that makes her so happy. She was in a bad relationship for five years and finally had the courage to end it. We were all in the background going "YES!", but we always supported her in her decisions. My sister is seven years older than me and not my real sister. We have the same mother but not the same dad. My dad riased her though, and the only thing keeping them from being blood is the fact that they aren't blood, if that makes sense. I remember my sister walking me to class when I was starting my first couple days at Herndon Elementary/Middle Magnet School. My mom made her walk me to class until I was sure where I was supposed to go and knew my teacher. She liked it; she won't admit it, but she did. I would give anything to have those days back. She has moved out of the house now and been gone for several years, but I still miss her tons. She was someone that I could go to when I needed to talk. I still can talk to her, but now I have to drive across town to Shreve City to see her. I am so happy for her now though. She is extremely excited about the wedding and almost everything is planned and paid for. The wedding is on June or July (can't relaly remember) 27, 2009. I absolutley can't wait. I am her maid of honor and so proud of her.

My sister has come so far in her life. She is an independent woman, whom lived on her own after she was out this bad relationship. SHe knows what is it like to be on your own in the "real world", and I really look up to her for that. She also is a teacher at Blanchard Elementary and got her degree in Elementary Education from LSUS. She went back and took her test to become a middle school teacher because the young ones weren't really her thing. She is extremely OCD and goes to the doctor if she gets a scratch on her leg. I suppose that is good because almost nothing bad will happen to her; if it does, she will find out early enough to fix it. I really look up to my sister because she is so special. She is also an amazing woman and has helped me become who I am.

I agree with you that family is a great thing! It sounds like you have a great family. You are very lucky.
